Quick Mix Spritz Recipe
These cookies are mixed differently from other cookies (like pie crust) but they are the best. These are the ones I grew up on. At Christmas my mom would add almond extract and green food color then make tree pattern.
this is by far and away the best spritz recipe i have found. easy to make and cookies turn out terrific every time. for a flavor twist try using butter shortening. excellent recipe!!!
I followed the recipe, but added peppermint extract and they were wonderful and very easy. I loved them so much that I made up a couple of baggies filled with all dry ingredients, so next time I just have to cut in the shortening and the other wet ingredients. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe.
Recipe was good. I don't like the the instructions on the cookies. I highly suggest baking them for about 7-8 minutes instead of 10. Mine browned on the bottom.
I'm not usually a big fan of Spritz cookies. Most are pasty and lack impact. This version was not like that at all! The flavor out of the oven was fantastic and two days later they were crispy yet buttery and lovely with coffee or tea. I used butter flavored shortening, which I believe made a huge difference. Taste aside, I still don't like cookie presses - pan in the butt to clean and very fussy.
Spritz or drop cookies, colorful and flavorful - very easy.
Use this recipe for a great cookie dough to use with your cookie press to make delicious spritz cookies.
This is the recipe we have always used at Christmas.
These salted caramel spritz cookies use simple ingredients and are quick and easy to prepare, making them perfect for holiday entertaining or gifting.
Wonderful cookie-press cookies, rich in flavor. My mom has made these cookies for years for all of the holidays. The kids love to decorate them as much as they love to eat them.
