Chocolate Cobbler Recipe
Rich, wonderful old-timey chocolate cobbler! Great for potlucks and get-togethers. Fast, easy and always a hit!
In this down-to-earth, easy to put together cobbler, chocolate and cherries are an irresistible combination. This dessert is great served warm topped with vanilla ice cream.
DH & I really enjoyed this chocolatey sensation! I followed recipe exactly except that I didn't use the full amount of sugar on the second addition... I only did a scant amount of what it called for. It turned out about how I expected it to... a chocolate cobbler. It had a chocolate-type of sauce in the bottom & formed a cobbler-type of dough on top. I timed it the exact amount the recipe called for & everything cooked up nice...was totally done. I did have to use a round glass 2.5 qt. bowl instead of 4x4 (didn't have one). I don't think it mattered... turned out great... don't be scared because of all the bad reviews... I wouldn't decrease the water... the liquid made a "nice" sauce. YUM!
Chocolate pudding casserole. I doubled the recipe and used a 9x13 pan. Not too sweet just right.
Never had cobbler before and everyone loved it. Will pass it on to the rest of my family and friends
The measurements on this recipe are definitely off. Make sure you read the reviews before proceeding. I made as directed and while my kids enjoyed the flavor, the end result was a little on the greasy side and very runny. Next time I will cut the butter down to 4 Tbsp and increase the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, milk mixture (maybe even double it?). I think if you tweaked the measurements you could end up with something similar to a molten chocolate cake. It has potential but as written it's not right.
This is delicious. I took it to a last minute dinner I was asked to bring a dessert for and it was a big hit! Served it warm with vanilla ice cream...yummy! It was very easy and used ingredients I had on hand. Chocolate and cherry really DO make a great combination!
